Job Summary:
The White Tower Washer is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and inspecting materials, parts, and finished products in the White Tower section of the production area. This role ensures that all items are washed and prepared according to production requirements, maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards before products move on to the next production stage. The Washer plays a key role in ensuring that surfaces are free of contaminants, debris, or residue, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of the production process.
Responsibilities:
Operate industrial washing equipment to clean and prepare wind tower components for subsequent production processes.
Use appropriate cleaning agents, solvents, and techniques to remove contaminants and ensure surfaces are free of dirt, grease, oil, and other residues.
Perform hand-washing or touch-up cleaning on areas that require special attention or cannot be cleaned with standard equipment.
Inspect components before and after washing to ensure they meet cleanliness and quality standards.
Report any defects or issues with the components that may require additional cleaning or rework.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to approve all washed components for further processing.
Operate and maintain washing equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Regularly clean and service washing equipment to prevent contamination and ensure optimal performance.
Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and materials, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while cleaning equipment and handling chemicals.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, such as gloves, masks, and safety glasses.
Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning processes and any issues encountered.
Prepare reports on washing activities, including observations and suggestions for process improvements.
Work closely with other production support team members to coordinate washing activities and ensure components are ready for the next production stage.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any challenges or delays in the washing process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in industrial cleaning or washing in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience in industrial cleaning or washing in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Familiarity with industrial washing equipment and cleaning agents.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and handling heavy components.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
Basic mechanical skills for operating and maintaining washing equipment.
