SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Analyst to join our team in the manufacturing of wind turbine towers. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet and exceed industry standards for safety, quality, and reliability. The Quality Analyst will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain quality processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDCORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Become the Leading Authority on Customer Specifications & Requirements: Cultivate expertise in understanding and interpreting customer specifications and requirements to ensure seamless alignment with organizational objectives.
2. Lead Root Cause Analysis & Implement Corrective Actions to Enhance Production Processes: Spearhead root cause analysis initiatives and drive the implementation of corrective actions to optimize production processes and enhance overall efficiency.
3. Manage the Corrective Action Log for Internal & External Nonconformances: Maintain a comprehensive corrective action log for both internal and external improvement exercises, ensuring transparent tracking and resolution of identified issues.
4. Conduct Weekly Material Traceability Report Inspections to Ensure Conformance to Requirements: Conduct meticulous inspections of weekly material traceability reports, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and material compliance requirements.
5. Analyze Production Data & Deliver Performance Reports: Utilize advanced analytical techniques to scrutinize production data and deliver insightful reports on performance metrics, facilitating informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Generate Regular Reports on Quality Metrics & Operational KPIs: Compile and present regular reports on quality metrics and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), emphasizing areas for enhancement and demonstrating adherence to applicable quality standards.
7. Conduct ISO 9001 Internal Audits in Collaboration with Quality Assurance Engineer: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Engineer to conduct thorough ISO 9001 internal audits, ensuring rigorous adherence to quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
8. Evaluate Effectiveness Trends of Corrective Action Implementation: Assess trends in the effectiveness of corrective action implementation, identifying opportunities for refinement and enhancement to drive sustainable improvement.
9. Provide Support for Nonconformance Management Process & Drive Actions to Closure: Offer comprehensive support for the nonconformance management process, proactively driving actions to closure and ensuring timely resolution of identified discrepancies.
10. Collaborate with Quality Control Department to Ensure Compliance with Established Quality Standards: Partner closely with the Quality Control Department to uphold compliance with established quality requirements, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
AUTHORITY
1. This position has the authority to stop production for Safety, Quality, or other reasons, at their discretion consistent with company policy or procedure.
2. This position has no financial approval authority, hire/fire authority, or formal discipline authority.
EDUCATION and MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. bachelor's degree in a related field, or 3yrs relevant work experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
2. Proven experience in quality assurance within the manufacturing industry, preferably in wind energy or industrial manufacturing
3. Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, ISO 9001 standard, and quality tools
4. Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
5. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations for wind turbine tower manufacturing
6. Knowledge of RCCA methodology
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality products
8. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
9. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office administration environment with the requirement to occasionally spend time on the production shop floor.

Workplace hazards may include chemicals, potential for eye injuries from metal or mechanical parts, heavy lifting, or injuries from falling objects. Employees in production areas must use safety glasses, hearing protection, and wear steel-toed boots.
