Client Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a Cloud Architect in Portsmouth, Virginia. The successful candidate should be technical, customer service oriented, and enthusiastic with respect to the nature of work. This role will serve as a cloud subject matter expert and trusted advisor providing technical support and architectural guidance to client and contractor teams in support of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard's Command Information Office.
How Your Role Will Make an Impact :
- Works with government and contractor team to design and implement secure Cloud solutions (Azure / AWS) for Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
- Works with DoD and / or DoN cloud brokers to accomplish program planning and control of activities required to meet client and contractual requirements.
- Defines the overall Cloud Architecture and provide input into design and operational activities based on best practices and tailored to the clients' needs and infrastructure.
- Provides business level input necessary for the client to maximize the benefit of the cloud environment.
- Provides client data from research and evaluation of current trends, best practices and preferred architectural approach to ensure the solution matches clients' needs and infrastructure.
- Provides architecture expertise to the program team and government staff, and assist in development of products and deliverables to further the strategy and goals of a large government organization that is in transition to a Cloud hosting model.
- Provides data to client from research and evaluation of current trends, best practices and preferred architectural approach to ensure the solution matches clients' needs and infrastructure.
- Assists and supports client activities to eliminate gaps or inconsistencies in the initial solution, architectural design, deliverables, benefits and messaging.
- Demonstrated experience working on projects that span multiple IT functions where analysis of systems or data requires an in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Assist existing support staff during the selection, rollout, transition, & operational phases.
- Identifies, evaluates, and recommends IT infrastructure, new systems and / or technologies.
