Client Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a Sr. Principle Systems Administrator experienced in implementing, maintaining, and administering VMware technologies on Microsoft Windows and UNIX platforms.
\n- Provisions and clones virtual machines (VMs) and server applications.
- Performs VM migrations with vMotion.
- Administers systems using VMware vRealize Operations Manager and VMware vCenter.
- Evaluates and tunes systems to maintain performance and high availability.
- Performs regular system checks to maintain security and integrity.
- Executes regular backup routines/procedures.
- Reviews and implements DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
- Utilizes Security Content Automatic Protocol (SCAP) tools.
- Performs testing and verification of proposed procedures and Operating System (OS) updates to ensure applicability and compatibility.
- Assists in project activities such as studies and development of hardware/software requirements and technical configurations.
- Provides Configuration Management (CM) for assigned physical and virtual systems.
- Manages Active Directory (AD) architecture and replication in a multi-domain environment.
- Implements Group Policy within AD.
- Remediates CAT I, CAT II, and CAT III findings associated with ACAS security scans of servers and workstations.
- Builds, configures, and manages Microsoft Windows Servers.
- Works closely with network, application, and middleware teams to support Windows-based product installations, customizations, and deployments.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
- Certification Required: CompTIA Cloud , OR CompTIA Security , OR GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), OR Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
- BS in Information Technology Related Discipline, OR 4 years equivalent, relevant experience can be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience related to the job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and associated tools.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or higher.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on customer service, including experience handling challenging situations and conflict resolution.
- Must be able to work both collaboratively and independently and take initiative to identify, track, and resolve issues
- MCSA Windows Server (2008, 2012 or 2016) OR completion of Microsoft Vendor Exams (70-640, 642 & 646; OR 70-410, 411, & 412; OR 70-740, 741, & 742).
- VMWare Certified Associate (VCA).
- Active TS Clearance.
