Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities :
- Review electrical design documents, including medium voltage (above 600 volts) for tenant projects (TAA) and design audit, and project processing for Port Authority (PA) facilities to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and Port Authority technical standards
- Download the electronic TAA submissions
- Preview construction documents, electrical load and service calculations, specifications, and reports for completeness with codes and standards
- Coordinate the review comments from others technical disciplines and prepare memoranda for transmitting comments to the line departments
- Attend meetings with tenant Architect / Engineer of Records to discuss the review comments and resolve the issues
- Assign various technical disciplines for code review
- Communicate with PA facilities to process TAA and design audit projects.
