Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Preparation of drawings, specifications, and reports for medium and high voltage distribution power systems, substations, transmission, and distribution systems design.
- Responsible for the supervision of the development of design projects with a strong electrical transmission and distribution component/be visionary and able to share that vision with the team's members.
- Project planning management supervision, coordination and administration of projects including distribution, transmission and substations projects
- Coordinate projects execution with other engineering disciplines and client.
- Attend project design meetings with clients, technical leads, consultants, agencies, and contractors for transmission and distribution electrical systems projects.
- Support other senior engineers in the design of distribution and transmission power
- Be visionary and able to share that vision with the team members planning for alternatives.
- Support the established energy team in Puerto Rico while growing a team in NY to increase CSA's presence in the northeast energy market.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
- New York State and/or New Jersey State Professional Engineer License.
- 15 years of experience in power design for infrastructure projects.
- Experience in medium and high voltage power systems including aerial and underground lines, substations, transmission design preferred.
- Experience winning new work and growing a team.
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
- Revit and CAD experience a plus.
- Knowledge in local and national codes and standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral, written skills and communication skills.
- Teamwork and customer satisfaction oriented.
- Comfortable working in a remote x hybrid work environment with geographically distributed team members.
- Able to manage resources, budgets, work plans, priorities, and project management tools to successfully lead employees from the beginning of the project to the end of the project.
- As required, sign and seal design documents
Salary : $160,000 - $175,000
