Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Design and layout of power, lighting and Fire Alarm systems working under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
- Prepare calculations in support of engineering designs.
- Understand and comply with applicable Building and Electrical Codes as well as client and utilities requirements.
- Design and specify power distribution and low voltage electrical systems, lighting design and fire alarm systems.
- Perform field inspections, measurements and calculations.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs and attend construction meetings.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- BS in Electrical Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) License preferred.
- 1-4 years of experience in design of lighting systems, commercial, institutional, residential, and industrial power systems, fire alarm systems and Communication/ Security Systems.
- AutoCAD, AutoDesk REVIT, and Bentley Microstation experience preferred.
- Experience on major infrastructure and building projects preferred.
- Knowledge of telecommunications (voice, data), security, CCTV, A/V systems preferred.
- Excellent ability to communicate with clients, architects, engineers, vendors, contractors, technicians, office, and field personnel.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
