Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Confirm that designs and systems are designed and constructed in compliance with defined project requirements and goals, including RFI’s and submittals.
- Support the delivery of the work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Coordinate the review of design submittals, design presentations, and design charrettes with internal project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the DB on the design review process with Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Evaluate the design-builder’s progress against scope, quality, schedule cost and implement corrective action as needed.
- Review the multidisciplinary design elements of the buildings, tracking Design-Builder technical performance and making appropriate technical responses.
- Coordinate Subject Matter Expert advice.
- Provide technical design guidance and review the Design-Builder’s integration of the designs relative to that of other design-build teams on the other facilities.
- Confirm that the design documentation covers the scope of work required by the Client and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget. Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key issues and effectively contribute to the project’s technical planning process.
- Confirm that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and quality controls applied.
- Review and coordinate responses to submittals and RFIs in conformance with the project requirements.
- Review and confirm that all shop drawings are in conformance with the design packages and project requirements.
- Review and confirm that all material samples and mock-ups are in conformance with the design packages and project requirements.
- Review all change order requests; coordinate subject matter expert input and provide consolidated professional recommendations.
- Be available to work 2 to 3 days per week from the project construction site trailer/office.
- Facilitate resolution of construction issues with the design-builder and project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular inspections of the work and provide reports to all required team members and stakeholders.
- Work with the site construction and safety teams to confirm that all safety protocols are observed and always enforced.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a relevant field of study
- Professional Architectural License preferred
- Previous experience working with New York City agencies preferred
- Previous experience with high-rise construction preferred
- Previous experience with Design-Build preferred.
- Strong verbal and written skills in a client-facing capacity
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong leadership, and project management skills, including managing a team a driving project

Salary : $70 - $80
