Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
· Identify and address engineering-related topics that are initiated by the various
· stakeholders
· Assure that the proper resources are focused on addressing issues and managing the resolution of all issues.
· Participate in preparation for and attend Design Builder work sessions.
· Oversee AHJV engineering team responses during the Design Builder implementation of the projects.
· Attend engineering-specific meetings, including asset management, radio and communications, and be responsible for capturing action items and disseminating that information back to the team and the client.
· Guide the engineering specialists and keep them up to date with changes to the program, including weekly engineering specific meetings.
· Review design review comments made on the progress design submittals from the Design Builder and coordinate with engineering specialists.
· Follow up with engineers on RFI and Submittals responses and review content for compliance with the project requirements.
· Manage the budget assigned to the engineering specialists.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Leadership – Lead and manage teams and meetings with diverse stakeholders
· Focus – Manage priorities and action items to keep team focused
· Management – Engage team of Subject Matter Experts and delegate appropriately, manage engineering team budget, review input and refine appropriately for communication to the various stakeholders
· Client-focus – Work within the program communication structures, make recommendations that are appropriate to the program and project frameworks
· Can-do Team Player – Contribute to the success of a fast-paced, high-performing team
· Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or a related discipline required.
· 12 years of progressive roles in engineering, management, and leadership
· Experience in multi-story/high-rise projects, New York City agencies and conditions, and the program management role in a government design-build project are desirable Software skills expected include MS Office Suite and Bluebeam Studio
· Experience with coordinating MEP, low voltage, and other engineering specialties
Salary : $100 - $110
