Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review drawings, specifications, standard methods, building codes, submittals, and other pertinent construction documents.
- Perform Field inspections as needed.
- Perform Destructive and Non-destructive test of structures members.
- Update Quality Manual and Test/Calibration periodically
- Design and prepare digital forms for various Laboratory testing and Field inspections.
- Supervise/review all reports from Field Inspectors and facilitate submission of final reports to clients.
- Initiate training and performance review for Laboratory and Field Inspectors.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or related field is preferred but not required.
- 5 years of technical experience with NYSDOT
- Able to work the night shift from 10pm – 5am
- Available to start in March or April
- OSHA 10 and 30 Certification required
