Qualifications 8 years of experience in insurance defense practice with some courtroom and first or second chair trial experienceCalifornia bar admission requiredKnowledge of personal injury law and procedureKnowledge with general liability insurance coverage and CSAA IG policiesAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in an organized and timely mannerComputer skills, MS office, online research tools such as LEXISKnowledge of medical - legal issues pertaining to tort lawUnderstands the legal implications of information found in medical recordsKnowledge of current law and issues within area of specialtyResponsibilities Your Role : Providing legal advice, counsel, and representation for insureds and / or CSAA IG before courts or arbitration panels and advises company employees in their handling of claim mattersAs legal counsel you will appear and advocate on behalf of CSAA IG and its member insuredsApplies independent analysis and judgment to prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, etc. with close coordination and input from claims specialistsConducts all phases of personal injury litigation including jury trials, motions, and arbitration hearingsIs assigned and responsible for the most complex and / or highest value casesWorks on and responsible for handling complex legal matters or projects including matters not in litigationServes as a resource for assigned legal disciplines and resolves major issues within legal specialty area with considerable independenceAnticipates and advises on potential legal issues significantly impacting insurance and motor club operationsTravels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetingsBenefits The full salary range for this position is $155,000-$193,000This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay#J-18808-Ljbffr
