Your Role:
As a Warehouse Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence of our first Indianapolis HUB. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receive incoming containers and prepare outgoing containers for shipment, to include cleaning, inspecting, charging and testing.
- Interact with drivers of transport companies during delivery and release of containers.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and requirements for special instructions pertaining to inbound and out bound loads are completed (BOL's, acceptance and release notifications, etc.)
- Monitor inventory and enter appropriate information in inventory systems as required.
- Operates simple warehouse equipment as necessary (pallet jack, floor cleaners, etc.).
- Loading and unloading of trucks with forklifts
- Moving and stacking container inventory with forklifts
- Conduct EH&S and 5S inspections as directed.
- Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean, safe and good working order.
- Adhere to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Complete all documentation, electronic and paper form, associated with above functions and duties.
- Performs other tasks, as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- 3 years’ experience in a warehouse, inventory, material handling or operations environment (preferred).
- 1 year of forklift operating experience.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, quick learner
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft office, internet, email, etc.)
- Must demonstrate flexibility and positive attitude.
- Read, speak, and understand the English language
- Must possess critical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Must be thorough and exercise attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor, tact, diplomacy and ability to maintain good relationships with internal/external customers.
- Strong organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities.
- Must be a strong team player.
