Key Responsibilities:
- Student Assistance:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning objectives.
- Assist students with assignments, projects, and understanding instructional material.
- Classroom Support:
- Collaborate with teachers to implement instructional plans and activities.
- Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive and organized learning environment.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Assist in record-keeping, grading, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Prepare instructional materials and help maintain an organized classroom environment.
- Communication:
- Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other school staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers to address student needs effectively.
- Supervision:
- Monitor students during various activities, including recess, lunch, and field trips.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students in all settings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience working in an educational or childcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with educators and other staff.
- The employee needs to communicate verbally and listen regularly.
- The ability to stand, sit, and move around the classroom for extended periods.
- Lifting, bending, and carrying classroom materials and supplies.
