Job Description:
The Compliance Specialist will support Cboe Global Markets, Inc.’s (“Cboe”) Compliance team (“Compliance”) and other Cboe stakeholders to help plan, monitor, and guide the execution of key Compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling small and large/complex assignments, addressing and/or escalating obstacles, and advancing organization and collaboration. Responsibilities include supporting Compliance’s training program and policy/procedure review process, facilitating key Compliance standing meetings, supporting the Compliance team's use of project management tracking tools, and supporting the Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Support the Compliance Training Program project management Jira board, working with members of the Corporate Compliance team to track Compliance training development and deployment.
- Manage Learning Management System reports to identify staff who did not complete required training by the target date and contact them to remind them of their obligation;
- Monitor completion of training and escalate uncompleted training per the Compliance Training Procedures;
- Support policy/procedure review process by tracking, facilitating completion, escalating, and leading issue resolution.
- Organize and facilitate Compliance team meetings, Global Compliance Committee, and annual Compliance summit.
- Support Global Compliance Committee meetings, including the creation of meeting agendas and minutes.
- Facilitate Compliance Jira project management board and deliverable reporting, including supporting team use, answering questions, and following up on key deliverables as needed.
- Support the development, management, and timely delivery of comprehensive board reporting materials.
- Administer projects and action items to support the completion of critical work for Compliance using methods for project tracking and status reporting.
- Establish and maintain relationships within Compliance and with other Cboe teams (Operations, Legal, etc.) to support transparency and collaboration with Compliance.
- Provide support in the preparation and response to Compliance audits and examinations as assigned.
- Support general Compliance activities and other responsibilities, including special projects, training, and ad-hoc reporting, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to serve as liaison between Compliance and other Cboe team members to ensure transparency, collaboration, and coordination while meeting deadlines.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work assignments and complete multiple tasks concurrently with accuracy, precision, and quality.
Flexibility to adjust to changes in priorities and situations and complete work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
Capacity to meet required deadlines and identify and communicate potential conflicts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely for multiple audiences.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to quickly learn new technology and subject areas is a plus.
Above-average proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with JIRA, SharePoint, and Onspring or other GRC software is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management software.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Compliance and/or project management at a global, highly regulated entity.
Education
Bachelor's degree required
