Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Healthcare Interior Designer with a specialized background in federal healthcare and VA projects. In this remote leadership role, you will play a pivotal part in driving the interiors of high-profile healthcare projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of design, functionality, and sustainability. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage with key stakeholders, and shape environments that positively impact patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership: Lead the interior design process for federal healthcare projects, with a strong focus on Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities. Develop innovative design concepts that align with client goals, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based design principles.
- Project Management: Oversee all phases of the design process, from conceptualization to final installation, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and functional design solutions.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring design intent aligns with client needs and expectations.
- Technical Expertise: Ensure all designs comply with federal regulations, including VA standards, ADA requirements, and sustainability guidelines.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to integrate cutting-edge solutions into healthcare environments.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and professional growth within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare interior design, with at least 3 years focused on federal healthcare and VA projects.
- Proven experience in leading complex projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of federal healthcare guidelines, including VA standards, and evidence-based design principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts to clients and project teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with team members across different time zones.
- NCIDQ certification and/or LEED accreditation is preferred.
