About the Role:
We're looking for a Project Accountant to join our team and support the financial side of our construction projects. You'll handle everything from billing and requisitions to cost analysis and reporting-working closely with project managers and clients to keep things running smoothly.
What You'll Do:
Prepare monthly requisitions and payment applications
Handle invoices and change order logs
Resolve billing issues with clients and project teams
Create cash flow and forecast reports for management
Keep billing files organized and audit-ready
Analyze job costs and project profitability
Communicate with internal teams on change orders, closeouts, and job performance
Prepare certified payroll, insurance, and M/WBE reports
Review lien waivers, tax forms, and compliance documents
Support senior accounting staff with various tasks
What You Need:
5 years of construction accounting experience (preferred)
Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista ERP (a big plus)
Strong Excel & Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently
