Senior Estimator - Heavy Civil/Heavy Highway
Location: Draper, Utah
Overview:
Responsible for estimating heavy civil infrastructure projects including grading, concrete structures, removals, and related work. Collaborates with estimators, project managers, and Chief Estimator. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills required.
Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, plans, and Geotech Reports
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits
- Identify self-performed and subcontracted scopes of work
- Solicit subcontractors, suppliers, and manage DBE/SBE requirements
- Prepare estimates using Heavy Bid (HCSS) software
- Input subcontractor and supplier quotes in HCSS
- Conduct bid reviews with Chief Estimator and Management Team
- Submit bids with Chief Estimator's direction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
- 8 years in heavy civil/roadway estimating (grading, concrete, etc.)
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bid2Win, AGTEK, P6, Excel)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Compensation:
Base Salary: $120,000 - $155,000 beenfits
