Summary:
The Solution Architect will lead the development of technical solutions for government contract proposals, focusing on IT services such as cloud computing, application development, systems engineering, and modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Development:
- Analyze RFP/RFQ requirements to design tailored, compliant, and innovative IT solutions.
- Develop scalable, secure, and future-proof architectures for cloud computing, application development, systems engineering, and modernization efforts.
- Proposal Support:
- Author and refine technical narratives, diagrams, and other artifacts for proposal responses, ensuring alignment with RFP/RFQ requirements.
- Collaborate with Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, and SMEs to integrate technical solutions with win strategies and client hot buttons.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and position solutions effectively.
- Participate in oral presentations and discussions to communicate the proposed technical approach clearly and persuasively.
- Technical Innovation and Differentiation:
- Leverage emerging technologies, such as AI/ML, DevSecOps, and hybrid cloud environments, to create innovative solutions.
- Develop technical differentiators that position the organization competitively in the IT services market.
- Feasibility and Risk Assessment:
- Conduct feasibility studies to ensure proposed solutions are practical and achievable within constraints.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Content Development and Reusability:
- Create and maintain reusable technical content, including architectures, frameworks, and standard templates for future proposals.
- Contribute to the organization's knowledge base by documenting lessons learned and best practices.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a technical advisor to capture and proposal teams, ensuring seamless integration of technical and strategic goals.
- Work with project teams during the transition from proposal development to implementation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in IT solution architecture for government contract proposals, particularly for RFPs/RFQs.
- Proven expertise in cloud computing, application development, systems engineering, or similar IT service domains.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and FAR compliance.
- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of IT frameworks, such as Agile, DevSecOps, and ITIL.
- Proficiency in technical writing and diagram creation for proposal submissions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, PMP, or TOGAF are highly desirable.
