Business Systems Analyst
CSI Companies is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to serve as a vital link between business stakeholders and the IT team. This role is an exciting opportunity to collaborate on identifying business needs and implementing innovative technology solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives. The Business Systems Analyst will focus on leveraging data analytics to work with large data sets, identifying anomalies, uncovering problem patterns, and ensuring an in-depth understanding of business use cases and their impact on downstream systems. This role requires demonstrated experience analyzing and optimizing financial workflows, leveraging a strong understanding of Finance and Accounting principles. Success in this position requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across teams, and a strong balance of functional and technical expertise. This position is based onsite at our corporate office in Jacksonville, FL.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the design, development, and deployment of applications and system enhancements.
- Configure scripts, applications, and workflows to create or enhance functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
- Provide end-user support, including release and upgrade management, testing, and training.
- Create and maintain user documentation, data interface designs, data migration plans, and reconciliation processes.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Gather and document business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of goals and challenges.
- Analyze large data sets to identify anomalies, patterns, and problems, providing actionable insights.
- Contribute to the design of business systems, including ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless downstream system alignment.
- Support the implementation, and maintenance of ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications with a focus on financial modules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
- Conduct gap analyses and risk assessments to ensure compliance and system effectiveness.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing and resolve issues before deployment.
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to translate user requirements into functional designs for developers and project teams.
- Support solution design sessions to enhance business processes and operations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements, recommending innovative solutions.
- Ensure all system control processes comply with corporate policies.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and business processes.
- Support the adoption and integration of new technologies to meet organizational needs.
- Collaborate across teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing operational performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, FInance or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in data analytics, including anomaly detection and pattern recognition.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and optimizing financial workflows, leveraging a strong understanding of Finance and Accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting principles, with specific experience in AP, AR, and General Ledger (GL) processes highly preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, JIRA, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
