CSI Companies is seeking an IT Project Coordinator (Structured Cabling and infrastructure) to work with one of the country's top hospital systems.
Type: Hybrid with travel to Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island
Classification: Long-Term Contract (2 years to possible permanent hire)
Description:
A world-class healthcare system has an opening for an Enterprise Project Management Office IT Structured Cabling Project Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for providing support and assisting Structured Cabling Project Managers with the daily functions of a project. These daily functions include, but are not limited to tracking budgets, submitting change requests, organizing project folders, assisting with the bid process, assisting in creating and updating PowerPoint presentations, policies, procedures and updating and editing the Structured Cabling Standards document. The primary work location is in New York City, but the Project Coordinator is also expected to support projects in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island.
Responsibilities:
- Submit and track Change Requests
- Submit and track purchase orders and change orders
- Track vendor invoices
- Track project budgets
- Create and edit PowerPoint presentations
- Create and edit Word and Excel documents
- Assist in creating and maintaining schedules in Microsoft Project
- Organize project folders
- Shadow and provide support to Structured Cabling Project Managers
- Occasionally attend site visits and walk-throughs
- Assist in scheduling work for vendors
- Create and produce meeting minutes
- Assist with organizing and obtaining project closeout documents
- Report on project status
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Must be skilled in Microsoft suite applications
- Must have expert-level proficiency in MS Excel and Word specifically
- Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Project
- Must be skilled in SharePoint and OneDrive
- Must be familiar with PDF editing tools
- Must be organized
- Must have excellent writing skills
- Must have attention to detail
- Must have basic knowledge and experience in general Project Management
- Must have basic knowledge in cabling infrastructure (fiber and category cable)
- Must have basic knowledge in reading Architectural, IT and MEP drawings
- Must have basic knowledge of MEP systems and IT environmentals is a plus
- Must have basic knowledge in data networking
Added Pluses:
- Experience working in HealthCare
- Any exposure to AutoCAD
- A positive attitude and desire to learn low-voltage cabling concepts and standards
- Relevant project management or IT certifications
- Driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Salary : $40 - $50
