Job Description
CSI Recruiting is working with a leading consulting firm in their search for an Asset Appraiser to focus on the appraisal of utilities and energy assets (telecommunication, electric, water, pipelines, railroads) from the company's Dallas office.
This Asset Appraiser role will require experience within the utilities industry, preferably in engineering and / or finance, as these valuations are complex and challenging, involving diverse approaches to fair market value (Cost, Market, and Income).
The role involves taking financial statements, published annual reports and market overviews of all operations and analyzing those financial details to determine the client's assets' anticipated profitability and thus market value.
This role of Asset Appraiser must then apply very specific appraisal techniques - which the client will teach you. You'll interface with the client as both part of the appraisal process and in defending your findings, so relationship management and interpersonal skills are key to the job.
Requirements
Desired Experience Includes :
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Finance or Economics
- Experience within the utility industry, be that as an employee of a power / utility company or from working at an engineering consulting firm focus on power generation, utility, power plant, and power distribution projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills, advanced written and verbal communication abilities
- 5 years of professional experience in a project-focused business environment where consideration of deadlines, budgets, and deliverables were part of your everyday functions.
