Job Description

CSI Recruiting is working with a truly top-tier oil & gas investment firm in Dallas, assisting in their search for a highly organized and detail-oriented Land Analyst to join their robust team of land professionals. The Land Analyst will be responsible for creating, managing and maintaining the lease, ownership, and well records primarily for non-operated working interest assets owned by the company.

A qualified candidate must be able to work independently and will have the support of other members of the land team. This is a full-time and on-site position in Central Dallas.

Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Support acquisition and divesture activities including due diligence and interest intake / sale processing through the creation and maintenance of various land records
  • Review, analyze, and process oil and gas leases, contracts, and well records (physical folders, digital folders, BOLO software and company database)
  • Analyze records and create cross-references between wells, leases, and other contracts
  • Utilize Enverus platform and state regulatory websites to assist in determining the status of leases and contracts and maintain those statuses within the company's database
  • Maintain and track lease and contract obligations, payments, and expirations
  • Process incoming well proposals by setting up details in the database for technical evaluation
  • Work closely with other members of the land team to maintain data integrity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum of 2 years of oil and gas experience as a Land Analyst or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Familiarity with common oil and gas contracts and agreements including leases, JOAs, division orders, title opinions, ownership reports, division orders, well AFEs, and various conveyances, and ability to extract data for entry into the land management system
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to implement and adapt to new technologies, workflows and processes
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point
  • Experience in P2 BOLO software or other integrated land software systems
  • Experience with Enverus Prism, DrillingInfo, EnergyLink, and various regulatory agency websites
  • Permian experience preferred but not required
