Job Description
CSI Recruiting is seeking a candidate for a Senior Revenue Accountant role at a small, private oil & gas company based in Dallas, Texas. Our client is a domestic-focused exploration and production company with assets throughout Texas and Louisiana. The Senior Revenue Accountant role is the result of a promotion, and will have opportunities for upward mobility and additional responsibilities, including JIB Accounting.
The Senior Revenue Accountant will perform compilation, preparation and recording of monthly revenues, coordinating new well set-ups and ensuring revenues are in accordance with specific contractual language.
Other responsibilities related to revenue accounting include :
- Retrieve and reconcile electronic revenue data
- Set up and maintain allocations for common meters and delivery points
- Track undisbursed items from purchaser checks, request decks, research production information
- Interact with other departments and purchasers to obtain necessary data for accurate revenue booking
- Contact purchasers when additional information is required
- Research production vs. revenue discrepancies, locate and track down missing revenues
- Research and reconcile revenue-related general ledger accounts
- Compile data for audit inquiries
- Coordinate with the Controller and CFO as well as other departments on required data for accounting operations
