What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal - Insurance Defense position at CSK?
Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to join our Pensacola office. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability stay calm under pressure of multiple deadlines.
Qualifications:
- MUST be a Florida Registered Paralegal, Certified Paralegal or graduate of an accredited paralegal program.
- Minimum three (3) years of recent experience working for an insurance defense firm, including familiarity with billing codes and ability to capture time and bill according to guidelines.
- Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing medical chronologies/records summaries
- Analyzing medical bills
- Drafting pleadings, discovery responses, expert disclosures and witness & exhibit lists
- Preparing trial exhibits
- Deposition, mediation and trial preparation
