The Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes' Natural Resources Department seeks a highly qualified hydrologist to join our team. This role requires a strong educational background in hydrologic sciences or a related field, as well as significant experience in applying mathematical principles to real-world problems.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of surface water hydrology, groundwater hydrology, and practical applications in data collection and management. They must also be able to take mathematical principles and apply them to water resources problems, while considering the environmental impact of their work.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in hydrologic sciences or a closely related physical science field;
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience for Hydrologist I-II, and 4 years for Hydrologist III;
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills;
- Considerable knowledge in surface and groundwater hydrology;
- Valid driver's license.
