Could you be our next Head of Global Initiatives and COE? This is a hybrid role located in our King of Prussia, PA office. You will report to the Head of Internal Engagement.
The Corporate and External Affairs function integrate Communications, Government Affairs and Patient Advocacy to strengthen CSL's internal and external position externally, grow employee and partner engagement and influence and enhance our reputation and identity.
The Internal Engagement team is focused on deepening worldwide employee engagement, enhancing strategic agreement and momentum, and strengthening company culture. This team contributes in activating senior leaders as conduits and stewards of the company strategy and values. We also are important to encouraging a positive work environment to lead our goals.
You lead the centralized communications and strategy function that supports major transformation programs and high-priority global projects across the enterprise. You will ensure that all enterprise-wide programs are in consideration to tell the One CSL story.
You will be a strategic resource to senior leadership, departments, communication partners and transformation teams, providing strategic guidance, resources and frameworks to grow communications excellence and engagement.
You will lead a newly established group dedicated to providing centralized, strategic communications support for large-scale enterprise programs and functional topics to build understanding of the company strategy and grow internal engagement.
Responsibilities:
Strategic & Change Communications Leadership
- Create an integrated communication strategy that includes important functional programs and large-scale transformation programs to lead employee understanding of CSL's strategy. Develop a flexible communications roadmap aligned with enterprise milestones that provides 'air traffic control' by mitigating overlapping communications and ensuring cohesive storytelling.
- Guide company transformation efforts through the development of comprehensive change communications strategies. Translate complex change narratives and department-centric messaging across programs into clear 'One CSL' messages and develop internal enterprise messaging in collaboration with the Corporate Communications team to ensure and aligned messaging across departments.
- Provide guidance and mentoring on strategic and change communications to communicators within CEA and across the company.
- Partner with business, regional and site communication teams to ensure the global reach of main plans.
- Develop integrated communication plans that align with corporate strategy, values, and cultural priorities.
- Work with HR, IT, Operations, and Strategy teams to align transformation efforts with workforce engagement strategies.
Team member Engagement
- Collaborate across Internal Engagement and CEA colleagues to agree on priorities and timing.
- Engage senior leaders to ensure they are equipped and prepared to deliver messaging and strategic rationale of large change programs to engage and mobilize employees.
- Address employee concerns and fears through proactive and empathetic messaging.
- Ensure risk mitigation in communication through preemptive planning and partner agreement.
Team Development and Leadership
- Build and mentor a Global Programs & CCOE team that collaborates across organizational boundaries.
- Manage the matrixed Internal Engagement colleagues who will provide resources to Global Programs communications development, working with other Internal Engagement Leadership Team members to ensure agreement to the IE and CEA goals.
- Establish and enforce internal communication brand standards, ensuring understanding of corporate branding.
Communications Center of Excellence
- Oversee the creation and running of a Communications Center of Excellence to provide messaging, strategic guidance, and materials to communicators across the company.
- Provide governance, guidance, and training on communication strategies.
Metrics and Continuous Improvement
- Establish and track internal engagement goals in collaboration with Head of CEA Strategy & Insights team and employ a data-driven approach to engagement activities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field;
- 12 years' communications experience including communications program/people management, in product or corporate communications/ public relations
- Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable
- Experience managing communications/teams within a global environment
- Create end-to-end compelling content including written stories and videos, and the ability to edit, get approvals and publish
- Creative vision and experience with storytelling
- Willingness to travel to other company sites within CSL globally.
