Job Summary
The Center Medical Director plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of donors and maintaining high medical standards at one of our centers. As a seasoned medical professional, you will provide medical oversight to Medical Staff Associates, train and evaluate them for certification, and serve as a liaison between corporate and divisional medical directors and the center medical staff.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide medical oversight to Medical Staff Associates, including their training and evaluation for certification by Regulatory Affairs.
* Functionally direct the Center Medical Staff, providing training on medically related procedures and practices.
* Review and sign Medical Staff Associates notebooks weekly, including a review of approximately one out of five screening medical evaluations and unsuitable test result communication.
* Meet with Medical Staff Associates at least once a month to discuss medically related topics and document each meeting.
* Conduct confidential and effective interviews with donors to obtain information in various situations.
* Maintain confidentiality with respect to employee, donor, and center records reviewed during all duties.
Key Qualifications
* MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school and a current active medical license in the state where the center is located.
* One year of residency training as an MD or DO.
