As a Clinical Collector Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient collection of plasma from donors. Your primary responsibilities will include performing venipuncture, monitoring the pheresis process, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities:
- In compliance with SOPs, perform all aspects of the pheresis procedure and plasma collection.
- Monitor donor flow on the donor floor to ensure continuous turnover.
- Collect arm samples or whole blood samples from donors for testing.
- Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
- Maintain clean and efficient work environment.
- Follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months experience in a medical or healthcare environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communications.
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally perform tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of time.
- Reach, bend, kneel, and have high level of manual dexterity.
- Frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and to blood borne pathogens.
