Career Opportunity: Phlebotomy Support Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomy Support Professional to join our team at CSL Plasma. As a Phlebotomy Support Professional, you will be responsible for preparing the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process, monitoring the donor and the pheresis process, responding to specific alarms or signals that may occur during the process, disconnecting the donor when the process is complete, and maintaining alertness and awareness to any reaction the donor may have during or after the pheresis process.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Autopheresis Machine Preparation: Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Pheresis Process Monitoring: Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responding to specific alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
- Donor Disconnection: Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
- Alertness and Awareness: Maintain alertness and awareness to any reaction the donor may have during or after the pheresis process.
As a Phlebotomy Support Professional, you will also be required to use Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents that occur during the pheresis process, link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor, alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues, ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system, understand policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center, maintain clean efficient work environment, and promote safety in all actions.
