Job Description
We are seeking a Phlebotomy Technician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for preparing donors for the pheresis process, monitoring their progress, and ensuring their safety throughout the donation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process and ensure it is functioning properly.
- Monitor the donor's vital signs and respond to any alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
- Disconnect the donor when the process is complete and ensure they are comfortable and satisfied with their experience.
- Maintain alertness and awareness to any reactions the donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
- Record incidents that occur during the pheresis process using our Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) system.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
- The ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Working Conditions
This role requires you to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. You will be required to stand and walk for up to 100% of your shift, reach, bend, kneel, and have a high level of manual dexterity.
