Job Description
We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as a Junior Sales Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with municipal wastewater management and consulting engineering customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage sales activities in a specific sales region, generating leads, proposing sales, negotiating contracts, and delivering signed agreements to operations.
- Develop business and client relationships within a designated territory, including cold call meetings and creating strategies to meet individual client needs.
- Join and participate in local industry associations.
- Cultivate conceptual sales and close accounts with municipal wastewater management and consulting engineering customers.
- Meet and/or exceed individual revenue targets.
- Timely follow-up on leads generated through both corporate and regional efforts.
- Daily and weekly reporting of sales activities, schedules, and contracts.
- Adhere to on-the-job site safety requirements.
- Attend and participate in regional and national conferences and sales seminars, including technical presentations.
- Initiate project kick-off meetings prior to project commencement.
- Collaborate with Operations to determine specific project requirements and assist in contract interpretation and client interface.
- Complete special projects as requested.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Travel is essential.
