Department : Production (Dry Blending) Positions Supervised : None FLSA Status : Non-Exempt (min 40 hrs), 1st Shift, 10 hr days - Rotating Weekends Required (M, Tu, W schedule or W, Th, F Schedule) Reports to : Blending Supervisor GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB The Blending Operator I performs and reports on operational related activities and utilized technical skills to perform routine work using standard operating procedures related to food grade bacteria culture production. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work / functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned. Able to perform the physical tasks and complete necessary paperwork associated with the following operations without guidance / supervision : Blending and packaging. Loading and unloading freeze dryers. Weighing ingredients, bulks and excipients. Cleaning rooms and equipment so they are suitable for production. Assemble / disassemble mill. Operation of the metal detector. Perform all master sanitation tasks associated with the department. Properly fill out room logs. Make corrections on documentation, adhering to GDP. Follows operating discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards, and practices to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned areas Monitor and using HMI for basic processes. Proactively identifies improvements and opportunities utilizing improvement processes, appropriate management of change processes, and communication tools Perform sanitation duties per established frequency and procedures Comply with plant safety rules and maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
