About the Position : The Clinical Intern will support clinical operations from client intake to discharge. Serve as client liaison and communicate with clinical, medical, and hospitality. Provide support for client issues during their stay in treatment.
Position Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Welcome clients to APN, complete all critical and relevant paperwork, providing a tour of the campus, and following protocol to ensure the safety and security of the client and staff.
- Produce timely and accurate information to communicate with other department heads regarding client and departmental needs
- Works closely with the integrative care team to ensure coordination of tasks including admissions and discharge
- Review and aggregate patient outcome and satisfaction data
- Ensure all EHR are in KIPU and have been signed
- Follow clinic policies and protocols and adhere to state and local laws.
- Use computer software to admit and discharge patients, coordinate follow-up appointments, and refer patients to specialists as needed
- Works to create efficient systems and workflows within the clinic
- Collaborates extensively between departments to coordinate the completion of assigned performance improvement tasks.
- Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale a. Ensure that all client charts include the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (CSSRS) assessments as appropriate. b. Confirm that Brown Stanley Safety Plans are completed and included in client charts when necessary. c. Ensure therapists complete these assessments and safety plans within the required time frame and documented accurately within each chart.
- BIO PSYCHO-SOCIAL (BPS) ASSESSMENTS a. Ensure the completion of Biopsychosocial Assessments within 72 hours of client admission with the admissions therapist. b. Confirm assessments are signed by both the admission therapist and Tami Romano. c. Oversee that if the admission therapist is unavailable, that the assigned primary therapist completes the assessment promptly and within the 72-hour timeframe from admission. d. If the primary therapist cannot complete the BPS, provide support within the timeframe. e. Verify that the BPS is accurately documented and signed within the required timeframe. f. Follow TJC, CARF and All Points North Lodge CQI processes.
- GROUP THERAPY a. Provide therapy to clients on a group basis as is deemed necessary by treatment plans. b. Organize and conduct weekly specialty groups as assigned. c. Use and accept co-counselor(s) for observation / supervision and training.

Education : Bachelors / master's degree in clinical arena or master’s student in process preferred
Special Skills & Knowledge : Candidates should have the following skills and attributes : must be able to work and communicate well with people; be adaptable and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.
