Janitor - Maintenance

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our 3 art galleries, 2 performance spaces, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, artists, and performers. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties. Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on occasion is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in a commercial settings.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness in facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas, galleries, concert hall, restrooms, and other designated spaces as required.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are well-maintained.
• Occasionally assist with facilities maintenance by performing minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing, is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving light equipment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
