GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the Early Head Start- CCP Coordinator, The Administrative Clerk will provide essential clerical and administrative support to the Early Head Start program, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, assisting with program documentation, and supporting staff in various administrative functions to help meet the program’s goals. Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate staff, and assist in scheduling appointments or meetings. Greet Visitors. Assist in the preparation of reports, correspondence, and documents related to the program. Help maintain and files, records, and databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Records and types minutes of designated meetings. Type and proofread correspondence, reports, forms and other materials. File correspondence, memoranda, reports, forms and other materials. Duplicate forms and other materials. Operate office machines, copiers, computer hardware and software, including word, excel and Childplus. Enter program data into required systems or databases in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain attendance and other required documentation. Serve as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and community members, providing helpful and accurate information. Have the ability to communicate and maintain rapport with all areas of the community. Must have initiative, judgment, and the ability to make mature decisions and carry out duties with a minimum amount of supervision. Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Some knowledge of and experience with database operations and Microsoft PowerPoint software.
Requirements
Requires an Associates’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field. Must have strong organizational skills, knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Must be able to type a minimum of 50wpm. Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.

Pay: $15.98 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
