GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under the direction of the Early Head Start – Child Care Partnership Coordinator, the ERSEA Specialist will work to ensure the goals, objectives, and performance standards are met. Establish and maintain an outreach and recruitment process, ensuring enrollment of eligible children for the assigned service area. Maintain up-to-date child master files and ChildPlus data entry on all assigned children. Oversee processing of applications for accuracy and timeliness. Write and updates ERSEA plan and procedures. Maintain database of files to ensure security of data. Develop and request service area budget. Monitor system to process enrollment applications, including determination of eligibility and selection criteria. Monitor to ensure compliance related to funded enrollment, vacancies and attendance. Monitor attendance of enrolled children, contact family when child has been absent for two consecutive without no contact. Capability to accurately complete ongoing applications and enrollment into the ChildPlus database. Maintain current drop and add roster for the agency and submits to appropriate area. Have the ability to communicate and maintain rapport with all areas of the community. Must have initiative, judgment, and the ability to make mature decisions and carry out duties with a minimum amount of supervision. Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Some knowledge of and experience with database operations and Microsoft PowerPoint software.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field, with experience in eligibility, recruitment, and enrollment processes. Must have strong organizational skills, knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.

Pay: $21.14 per hour
