GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the Early Head Start- CCP Coordinator, The Quality Assurance Coach provides services, and ensures that the classroom guidelines are upheld according to aging plans, policies and procedures, and the Head Start Performance and the Act of 2007. This role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, assisting with program documentation, and supporting staff in various administrative functions to help meet the program’s goals 1. Observe and assess all classroom staff to identify strengths, areas of needed support, and which staff would benefit from intensive coaching. Provide coaching for identified education staff. Provide feedback and modeling of effective teaching practices directly related to program performance goals. Provide opportunities for education staff not identified for intensive coaching to receive other forms of research-based professional development aligned with program performance goals. Provides technical assistance for classroom staff as needed. Conducts CLASS observations as assigned. Maintain up-to-date knowledge State requirement for Pre-K program curriculum, and Improvement systems requirements for classrooms and staff. Reports observation findings to classroom team and EHS Coordinator. Provides report to EHS Coordinator bi-weekly on CLASS findings, practice-based coaching, recommendations, and any other information. Make referrals for additional training on identified performance-related issues. Conducts environmental assessment of classrooms and reports to EHS Coordinator. Report findings to EHS Coordinator. Check children's files in classroom to program requirements are met. Recruit children for the Early Head Start-CCP Program. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Review lesson plans for accuracy and completion. Have the ability to communicate and maintain rapport with all areas of the community. Must have initiative, judgment, and the ability to make mature decisions and carry out duties with a minimum amount of supervision. Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Some knowledge of and experience with database operations and Microsoft PowerPoint software.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Development, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years working with children. Must have strong organizational skills, knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.

Pay: $21.14 per hour
