Graphic Design Specialist

CST Industries is seeking a skilled Graphic Design Specialist to join our team in support of our growing portfolio of brands. This role is based in Kansas City, MO, and involves creating visually impactful designs for a variety of print and digital materials.

As a Graphic Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and laying out materials such as reports, posters, brochures, and digital content. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), MS Office, and basic web design with experience in content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Brand Guidelines: Follow brand-specific style, branding, and marketing guidelines to ensure consistency and effectiveness in all design work.
• Print and Digital Design: Create visually engaging designs for both print and digital publications, ensuring compliance with Section 508 (Accessibility) standards.
• Concept Development: Develop an understanding of project visual communication needs, and create design roughs (sketches), illustrations, and infographics that communicate ideas clearly and creatively.
• Comprehensive Layout: Design and layout specified projects using a combination of photography, illustrations, computer-generated imagery, and text for both print and digital formats.
• Diverse Projects: Layout and design a variety of materials, including logos, fact sheets, brochures, infographics and more.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal teams, senior management, partners, and retailers to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Multitasking & Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design, Desktop Publishing, Web Design/Development, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in graphic design, publication layout, and multimedia content creation, including web design.
• Design Expertise: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), content management systems (such as WordPress), and AV software is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with file-sharing platforms (e.g., Google Drive, Box, Dropbox).
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience using virtual collaboration tools.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and accurate design output.
• Multitasking Ability: Ability to manage multiple projects while staying organized and meeting deadlines.
• Self-Starter: Capable of working independently, taking initiative, and delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies to improve design and communication strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in designing for B2B, Industrial Manufacturing. Social Media.
