Position Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst will primarily support data preparation, analysis, and reporting activities across various business functions. This role requires a strong foundation in SQL, experience with data modeling, and proficiency in Power BI. The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in business intelligence, analytics, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering, cleaning, and transforming data for analysis using SQL and other business intelligence tools.
- Develop SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support reporting and analysis needs.
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards under the guidance of senior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights.
- Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues and ensuring data integrity within systems.
- Assist in preparing the Monthly Board Package.
- Learn and apply best practices in business intelligence, data visualization, and analytics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate complex financial information effectively to varying audience levels.
- Ability to collaborate with Leadership and Cross-functional teams across a range of projects.
- Highly organized and able to manage simultaneous deadline-oriented projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with both internal and external personnel.
- Familiarity with project management, six sigma, and lean manufacturing tools to drive improvements that lead to strong, reliable, and sustained performance.
- A self-motivator and able to complete projects independently.
Technical Skills:
- Experience working with Macola ERP Solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio, or a similar tool, for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Knowledge of building and maintaining data pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Relevant work-related experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
