Under the supervision of the Upward Bound Director, the Pre-College Advisor / Tutor will work with high school students from the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD), and Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD). Pre-College Advisors / Tutors will work to prepare students to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. The primary role of the Pre-College Advisors / Tutors will be to assist students with their academic preparation through tutoring, mentorship, and encouraging student to pursue a postsecondary education.
This position is anticipated to work 5-10 hours a week (Monday - Friday) and at least one (1) Saturday a month. Some evening hours, as required.
- Please be aware that funding for this position is awarded through a Grant / Contract over a specified period. Employment for this position beyond the current Grant / Contract funding is contingent upon continued funding.
