Position Summary
The Welder performs required operations to fabricate product according to plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Weld products according to specifications
- Verify that the proper materials are provided to the customer.
- Verify that materials are supplied in proper quantities and proper lengths.
- Select materials and verify that proper alloys are used.
- Check materials to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained.
- Ensure that the materials are marked with the proper mark numbers, if the mark numbers are required.
- Modify or build specialized equipment and jigs required to fabricate specified configurations.
- Ensure that welds are in accordance with accepted industry and company standards.
- Accurately document the inspection and rework of non-conforming or rejected material using the appropriate log.
- Initiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processes.
- Perform Fabrication duties as needed
- Regular and routine attendance is required
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications (Skills & Knowledge)
- Knowledge of fabrication and/or welding techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards for welding and willingness to use protective clothing (Face Shields, Gloves Etc.)
- Ability to read technical documentation and drawings including details and breakouts.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers verbally and in writing.
- Able to complete work accurately and on time.
- Able to work collaboratively with direct team members, or across departments, and work independently as needed.
- Able to properly utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Candidates who apply for positions requiring the use of a lift truck must be able to obtain certification and safely operate a lift truck.
Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
- 2 years of experience as a welder/fabricator preferably in welding aluminum.
- Experience using power and hand tools.
Work Environment
- Physical Conditions:
- Production floor/warehouse: This position works in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment, routinely uses hand tools, may operate production machinery or lift trucks, and must be able to stand for a full shift.
- Location: In-office: This role is required to be in the office full-time.

- Compensation: CSW Industrials has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing salary ranges to ensure we remain competitive. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors. Some sales roles are also eligible for a sales bonus.
