Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform custodial duties efficiently.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable.
- Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings, adapting techniques as necessary.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring that all areas are functional and safe.
- Handle industrial cleaning responsibilities, utilizing appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition.
- Follow established safety protocols while performing cleaning tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or residential painting is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
