What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at CT Nassau?
Responsibilities:
Performs daily checks in all departments to ensure quality standards are being practiced.
Tape
- Check for visual defects (weave, knit, and finishing)
- Measure tape width
- Check for correct splicing and knotting (during blow-out)
- Work with supervisors to identify raw material issues
Tick
- Check for visual defects (weave, knit, finishing)
- Work with supervisors to identify raw material issues
- Punch weights for knitting and weaving
- Collect efficiency data and report
- Help maintain the quality board in each department
- Assist with internal audits
- Check incoming raw materials for both tick and tape
- Communicate quality issues to the RD/QC Manager
- Suggestions for process improvement
Qualifications:
- Ability to read a ruler and measure accurately
- Basic computer proficiency using Excel and Word
- Organized and able to track data consistently
- Basic proficiency with lab equipment, i.e. skein winder, balance, spectrophotometer
- Ability to analyze data and determine root cause for quality issues
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
