Remodeling Sales and Design Consultant Job description

We are looking for the right person to join our small team as a Sales and Design Consultant for glass enclosures, bathroom and kitchen remodeling. We provide a spectrum of enclosures: from standard units to complex custom designs. We are considered one of the best in the industry. Our bathroom and kitchen remodeling ranges from simple updates to complete redesigns. We pride ourselves on creating stunning designs that are cost effective, functional and exceed the customer’s expectations. Sales and Design Consultants are responsible for providing expert product selection and technical assistance, utilizing their unique creative capabilities. Excellent customer service and project management skills ensures the project is completed without surprises.

Responsibilities

Our Sales and Design Consultant is required to:

·      Respond to and follow up on all inquiries from prospective customers

·      Track all client information and lead follow-up

·      Qualify all prospective customers

·      Assist and advise the customer in all product selections with a focus on educating

·      Manage and execute all stages of the sales process from opportunity to invoice, and ensure proper follow- through, minimal issues or returns, while achieving high customer satisfaction

·      Design project using computer software products and collaborate with installers when required

·      Complete project estimate utilizing CTS&B defined process and tools

·      Create clear and detailed definition of scope of work for the customer and other staff

·      Coordinate site measures

·      Prepare and complete all contract documents

·      Accurately prepare all PO’s before ordering

·      Price all Change Orders when necessary

·      Develop an in-depth knowledge of key product lines and stay current on changes

·      Demonstrate a positive attitude

·      Conduct self in a professional manner

·      Work successfully individually and as a team member

·      Achieve short- and long-term annual sales goals

·      Ensure compliance with all company and showroom policies and procedures

·      Identify and create new customers through building strong relationships with contractors, builders, retail customers, suppliers, etc.

Qualifications

·      Associate’s degree in business, sales or equivalent work experience

·      3 years sales experience, preferably in the bath remodeling or building materials industries

·      Previous experience working with retail customers and trade professionals

·      Customer focused mindset

·      Solid knowledge of construction basics, particularly carpentry and plumbing

·      Proficient computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent skills in Excel

·      Strong knowledge of math/geometry

·      Ability to solve technical problems and to anticipate/avoid potential issues

·      Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a wide variety of people

·      Experience in project management with the ability to manage client expectations and time effectively

·      Strong communication and organization skills with excellent attention to detail

·      Reliable, highly motivated—self motivated

·      Work independently and with other team members

·      Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize

·      Strong sales aptitude, negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients

·      Willingness to learn

·      Background in a design, other creative environment or construction a plus

Knowledge of glass enclosure design software products and 2020 a plus
