Position Summary :
The Coordinator of the Fitness Center will manage the on-campus fitness center, including creating a schedule for open hours, recruiting student workers, and coordinating staffing coverage.
Example of Job Duties :
Under the direction of the Dean of Administration or other campus administrator theFitness Center Coordinator is responsible for effective performance in these essential duties :
- Supervision of Fitness Center Staff.
- Coordination of Fitness Center Schedule.
- Supervision of equipment maintenance, including communication with vendors for repairs or maintenance of equipment.
- Updating Fitness Center policies and regulations.
- Conducting ongoing education of Fitness Center staff and members to ensure that policies and regulations are followed.
- Promoting fitness activities and healthy behaviors, i.e., preparing and distributing educational materials.
- Coordination of ordering supplies and equipment.
- Preparation and monitoring of the Fitness Center budget.
- Coordination of Fitness Center activities with credit and non-credit use of the facilities.
- Tracking and periodic reporting on use of facility.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree.
Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following :
Candidates must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.).
