Position Overview

The Vice President of Sales and Partnerships is a critical member of the executive team, responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing brand presence, and establishing strong fan and partner engagement for CT United FC. The Vice President will oversee all revenue-generating activities, including ticketing, sponsorships, partnerships, merchandise, and concessions, ensuring alignment with the team’s overall strategy and mission.

This position requires a forward-thinking leader with proven experience in sports business, exceptional skills in building relationships, and a track record of achieving ambitious sales and revenue goals. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational rigor, overseeing a team focused on revenue optimization and fan engagement while fostering a culture of inclusivity and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive revenue generation strategies that align with the team’s goals, focusing on ticket sales, corporate partnerships, and merchandising.
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate sponsorships to enhance brand visibility and increase revenue.
  • Manage sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve ticket sales target and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Engage with the local community to build relationships that promote the team and its initiatives, enhancing the overall brand presence.
  • Ensure compliance will all MLS Next Pro league regulations and guidelines to maintain the integrity and reputation of the organization.
  • Prepare and manage the revenue budget, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals while providing regular forecasts and performance updates.
  • Develop and manage customer retention initiatives aimed at building loyalty among fans and corporate partners.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to develop and execute campaigns that drive sales and enhance fan engagement.
  • Collaborate with operations to develop and execute engaging game day promotions that enhance fan experience and increase attendance.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration across departments to ensure alignment on revenue goals and initiatives.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of revenue initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with ownership and stakeholders about revenue performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the organization’s mission and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university or equivalent experience/combined education. 
  • 10 years of experience in a sales or marketing positions in sports.
  • Experience in successfully developing and generating ticket and sponsorship revenues.
  • Proven history of sales success and the ability to build and lead a sales-driven and customer focused organization.
  • Experience overseeing financial reports and budgets.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Proven leadership & management abilities.
  • Strong communication and teambuilding skills.
