Social Media Specialist

Current Hybrid work: 3 days at the office and 2 days remotely

THE ROLE
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels for Couche-Tard and Circle K (CT/CK) including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok and potentially any additional platforms in the future. The successful candidate will have experience collecting and analyzing data related to social media marketing campaigns and developing engaging content that’s designed for channel. This role will be instrumental in providing data-driven insights to support increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand among consumers and strategic partners.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

Understanding, monitoring, and reporting social media analytics
Track key social media analytics monthly (organic and paid). Monitor KPIs and present insights to internal stakeholders.
Track and report website acquisition statistics (using Google Analytics) to evaluate how specific content is performing.
Social listening analysis of key themes, sentiment, and engagement as well as discovering new trends to adapt to CT/CK.
Competitive analysis and monitoring. Communicate and present findings to key partners via email and virtual/in-person presentation (French English).
Scheduling, coordinating and distributing content
Maintain a monthly social media calendar with input from internal stakeholders and external vendor partners (planning at least one month in advance).
Use of Content Management System (Sprinklr) to schedule and distribute national content .
Repurpose content from other sources and develop net new content for our CT/CK social media channels, while understanding how to change the tone of the content for each platform.
Develop creative briefs for upcoming national social media campaigns.
Assist Business Units with localized social media support as needed including boosting of posts.
Influencer/ Creator Management and Content Development
Work with agency partners on influencer/ creator partnerships and ensure creators and content align with brand standards.
Coordinate logistics of creators filming in store with Bus.
Produce a diverse range of high-quality content in French and English, including infographics, videos, and social media content.
Social Media Engagement Management
Ensure there is a consistent and uniform tone of voice among all Couche-Tard/ Circle K social media accounts.
Deploy social giveaways and fulfillment of prizing.
Support community management team by sharing CT/CK marketing priorities with customer support teams.
Provide ongoing maintenance on all active social channels – resharing content, managing collaborations, proactive engagement.
National Marketing Campaign Support
Assist with national campaign initiatives as needed. This can include supporting asset development, presentation building, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media marketing with demonstrated success.
Experience and knowledge of social media advertising platforms (Facebook Business Manager, IG Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, YouTube Ads Manager) etc. to track audience engagement and campaign performance.
Experience working with monitoring and publishing tools (ex: Sprinklr).
Experience with website analysis tools (Google Analytics) as well as internal reporting tools.
Knowledge and skills:
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, attention to detail and time management skills are necessary.
Outstanding ability to think creatively and identify and resolve problems.
Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
Must be able to follow provincial, federal and company guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Platforms.
Experience with Adobe Suite and Canva.
Language skills:
Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
