What are the responsibilities and job description for the Autism Aide - Part Time position at CTA Community Supports?
We are immediately hiring Part-Time Autism Aides! These positions are available in our West Jordan, Sandy, and Cottonwood Heights residential homes, supporting adults with Autism and other disabilities. No Experience Required!
Schedules Available:
- Saturday 9am-3pm, Sunday 9am-3pm (12 hours/week)
- Saturday 3pm-9pm, Sunday 3pm-9pm, Thursday 3pm-8pm (17 hours/week)
*There are opportunities to pick up extra hours at different locations once you complete your initial 30-day paid training and your background check is approved.
As an Autism Aide (aka Direct Support Professional/in-home caregiver), you will help our adult clients achieve their personal goals and have fun while doing so!
The people we support love to do adventurous activities. They love going out to eat, being outside at the park, and going on a good road trip! The world needs to know how awesome they are, and you can be the one to make that happen!
We do help our clients with daily activities, including chores, cooking, and personal hygiene (toileting & showering). All the training you need is on-site and paid. No previous experience necessary.

Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Willingness to help someone with personal hygiene (brief/diaper changes)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor
- Basic computer skills (Slack, Note Taking, Smart Phone Usage)
- Be outgoing, friendly, and have a positive attitude
- A desire to help individuals with Autism and special needs
