Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Editor/Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately proof-reading medical reports and other healthcare-related documents. This role requires a strong writing and typing skills, and an understanding of medical terminology. The Medical Editor will play a crucial role in ensuring that patient path reports are clear, accurate, and adhere to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit documents for grammatical errors and compliance.
- Translate complex medical terminology into understandable language while maintaining the integrity of the original dictation.
- Ensure all documents are completed and delivered in a timely manner while meeting quality standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any unclear reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Take calls from providers and find answers to inquiries.
- Manage slide scanning timeline.
- Help keep all slides organized.
Skills
- Proficient in typing with a high level of accuracy and speed.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure error-free documentation.
- Ability to edit various types of medical reports accurately.
- Excellent written communication skills in English, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
