Mortgage Loan Assistant

Position Summary

This position supports Mortgage Loan Officers in ensuring loan accounting and file maintenance align with the Bank's Loan Policy and Procedure. The role does not involve originating mortgage loans.

Essential Functions

Support Mortgage Loan Officer (40%)

• Perform duties as required by the mortgage loan officers.
• Assist with third-party vendor interactions, such as title and escrow services.

Loan Reviews and Internal Support Coordination (30%)

• Review real estate appraisals, title reports, and transaction documents.
• Process customer applications and complete follow-up activities for registration lock-ins.
• Collaborate with internal partners on loan transactions.

Customer Support (20%)

• Communicate with borrowers to obtain necessary documents.
• Update borrowers on their loan status.

Bank Compliance (10%)

• Support the bank's cross-border mortgage referrals initiative.
• Complete all mandatory training assignments in a timely manner.
• Maintain awareness of applicable Bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures, as well as governing regulations.

Qualifications & Prerequisites

• Exceptional customer service skills with availability to assist customers.
• Experience in customer service industry.
• Mortgage experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual Chinese Preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged periods; operate office equipment, including computer keyboards.

Communication Demands:

• Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills.

Work Environment:

• Standard office environment; average noise level; ability to hear in normal audio range with or without correction.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $20/Hour - USD $25/Hour plus full benefits.
